Watch: Deerhunter release video for ‘Death In Midsummer,’ announces new album

The first track off of 'Why Hasn't Everything Already Disappeared?'

Deerhunter have just announced their upcoming album Why Hasn’t Everything Already Disappeared? and released their first single, “Death In Midsummer,” off of the record.

The upbeat, bouncy harp theme plays beneath frontman Bradford Cox’s dark lyrics on the new track as he sings “they worked in the hills, they worked in factories, they are in graves now.” The video is eerie and beautifully shot with lots of isolated buildings and expansive fields.
