Dwayne Gretzky have revealed a new video for their cover of Queen of the Stone Age’s “Make It Wit Chu.”
The band’s cover of “Make It Wit Chu” is a smooth, groovy tune, revolving around a driven bass line, silky reverberating vocals, and robotic background vocal lines, ultimately creating an ’80s-synth bop.
The quirky animated clip is a balance between photographs and clips of the band’s faces singing along, amalgamated with drawings and other graphics. “I wanted to create a sort of visual fusion – mixing old cut out imagery with digital 3D graphics – to mirror the themes of merging you/me, old/new and past/present that are happening in this reimagined version of the song,” animator and director Anne Douris explains in a statement.
