Dublin duo Elgin are readying their forthcoming album, Weightless / Still, which is set for release on May 28th via Pixie Race Records, and today they’ve shared their new single “Oh Love” alongside a live performance video of the track.
The atmospheric new track comes packed with lush instrumental lines and stunning vocal harmonies. The accompanying performance video sees Elgin delivering a captivating live rendition of the track beneath purple-tinged lighting.
Anthony Furey and Paul Butler, who were formally known as The Young Folk, originally wrote the album’s tracks for the band, with Furey drawing inspiration from writers like George Orwell, Seamus Heany, Charles Bukowski, and Colum McCann. “You can be any age with it,” Furey explains of Weightless / Still. “And you can play in any style you like and write lyrics about any subject under the sun.”

“I was in the right frame of mind,” Butler says. “Well.. actually in the wrong frame of mind, but the right one to come up with all these ideas.”
