Watch: Ellis shares visualizer for new track ‘Hospital,’ announces forthcoming EP ‘nothing is sacred anymore’

Hamilton, Ontario’s Ellis has announced her forthcoming EP, nothing is sacred anymore, and alongside the announcement, she’s shared a visualizer for her new single “Hospital.”

The new track comes packed with warm synths and lo-fi instrumentals, as Ellis offers up vulnerable lyrics like, “And in the hospital/ You didn’t come for me/ You wouldn’t come for me/ and so I had to leave.” The accompanying visualizer comes packed with gritty, retro shots of Ellis beneath neon lighting.

“I guess you could say I’m accident prone,” Ellis explains of the new tune. “But it’s those moments when bad or scary things happen that can be so revealing. You really see who shows up for you, who sticks around through it all.”
