A woman who was stuck on the pulley of a crane at Wellesley Street for several hours has been rescued.
Emergency crews were called around 4 a.m. after the woman, believed to be in her 20s, was spotted more than a dozen storeys up on the crane. A Toronto firefighter and an emergency task force negotiator began to climb the crane at approximately 6:30 a.m.

Toronto police closed Wellesley Street from Church to Yonge Street as rescue efforts got underway.
The crew elected to forgo lowering the crane due to safety concerns. Thankfully the woman has been rescued and this tense situation has come to a close.
Toronto police confirmed that the woman was charged with mischief following the rescue operation.
