Back in May, Catfish and the Bottlemen released a music video for “Hourglass”, which featured Brittish actor Ewan McGregor as the lead. The story depicts McGregor writing the song, then being ripped off by Bottlemen lead singer Can McCann.
The band today just released the uncut video of McGregor performing the song stripped down on an acoustic. It’s unsurprisingly great, — Ewan is quite the singer.
McCann had nothing but good things to say about him:
“Honestly working with Sir Ewan was one of the funnest things I think I’ll ever get to do. He’s the most interesting and interested guy I’ve ever met.” McCann continues “He’s just fucking brilliant. Total gentleman! When people tell you not to meet the people you look up to, fuck that! He genuinely buzzes off the band. Sends me photos of him listening to us before he walks onstage on his endless run of sold out Broadway. And he likes my lyrics! Honestly, I love him. It all makes me laugh my head off!”
