Watch: Father John Misty’s New ‘Please Don’t Die’ Music Video

Watch as Father John Misty gets sucked into the depths of claymation hell

With the help of claymation animator Chris Hopewell, Father John Misty has released a wicked music video for his track “Please Don’t Die” off his forthcoming album God’s Favorite Customer.

The music video isn’t Misty’s first time working with Hopewell, as the pair teamed up previously for “Things It Would Have Been Helpful To Know Before The Revolution.” Not to mention Hopewell has produced work for Radiohead’s “Burn The Witch” and Run The Jewels’ “Don’t Get Captured.”

Watch the video to see an animated claymation version of Josh Tillman sit in a vandalized room full of empty bottles. The floor separates and through it he slides down to hell, where a grim reaper greets him. We’ll try not to spoil the rest, but let’s just say a woman who may or may not be a claymation version of Misty’s wife strolls in at some point.
