First Aid Kit took to a Swedish game show this week, where they performed a cover of Bette Midler’s “The Rose.”
Sister duo Klara and Johanna Söderberg have been appearing on På Spåret as the house band, and this week, they performed a cover of Midler’s 1979 track, which featured on the soundtrack for Midler’s movie of the same name.
The stunning cover sees First Aid Kit adding their own folky twist to the track, finger picking on an acoustic guitar, delivering famous lines like, “Some say love, it is a river/ That drowns the tender reed.”
