The grand ethereal performer, Florence + The Machine, just performed extremely restrained, stripped back versions of “June,” “Patricia,” and “Ship to Wreck” for an NPR Tiny Desk session.
While we’re used to seeing Florence Welch running across the stage, bounding and twirling at every chance, this performance is nervous and hesitant, yet beautifully restrained.
“I’m sorry I’m shy,” Welch says to the small crowd in the video. “If this was a big gig, I’d probably be climbing all over here and running around.”
