With the spread of COVID-19, the Met Gala has been indefinitely postponed. While the event is nearly impossible to replicate over livestream, the event still hosted a stand-in livestream called A Moment With The Met.
The livestream showcased an upcoming exhibition from the Met in honour of its 150th anniversary this year, which looked back at standout red carpet moments from over the years. Additionally, A Moment With The Met was to raise money for A Common Thread, which is the COVID-19 relief fund from Vogue and Tom Ford.
The event was live-streamed on Vogue’s YouTube channel, where Florence + The Machine performed “You’ve Got The Love from her living room. Someone offscreen played an acoustic guitar as Florence Welch delivered her powerhouse vocals for this stripped back performance.
