Perhaps you’ve heard that a pair of Toronto pro sports teams have big games Wednesday night. The Toronto Maple Leafs will be in Boston for a Game 7, while the Toronto Raptors look to regain the series lead versus the Washington Wizards. Perhaps you’ve heard Brian Fallon played a sold-out show at Danforth Music Hall on Tuesday night, which happened to be an off-night for both the Leafs and Raptors.
One eager Maple Leafs fans used a quiet moment during Fallon’s set to attempt to incite a “go Leafs go” chant, which is absolutely moronic. Fallon called the fan out, reminding him that “the entire world” likes sports and a concert is not the place to try and fire up such a chant.

Fallon will be back in town with Gaslight Anthem to play Rebel on August 9 and 10 as part of the band’s ’59 Sound anniversary tour. Let’s not get any ideas about starting a Blue Jays or Toronto FC chant, ok?
