Watch: Glass Animals share bizarre new music video for ‘Space Ghost Coast To Coast’

Glass Animals by now are surely familiar with the term “strange.” The Oxford band continue to stray from the conventional with outlandish lyrics that are rich with imagery and music that feels otherworldly.

Their latest album from 2020, Dreamland, is no different than the title suggests. The wavy universe that Glass Animals create on this album is digital, intergalactic and magnificent.

Last Thursday (May 13), they shared a super weird video for the track “Space Ghost Coast To Coast.” The visual is like one in a video game glitch where frontman Dave Bayley is joined by a bunch of naked Sims-like characters sharing his face.

Watch the music video below.

Bayley says, “the video is a twist on those video games. Every video we have made in the last year has been made in peak lockdown… we had to get creative. In this case, Max came up with the idea that he could film me dancing in the park while sitting in his apartment. He was giving me direction the whole time via phone in my earbuds. It starts there and gets more and more surreal.”
