Hey, Upper East Siders: Gossip Girl is back.
A new trailer for the forthcoming reboot is here, and it sees the return of Kristen Bell’s disembodied voice as Gossip Girl, as she tantalizes a group of rich high school students. This time around, GG doesn’t limit herself to just texts, she’s moved into the world of social media, too.
The clip, which opens on the iconic Met steps, where the ruling teens of the Upper East Side have gathered to “welcome” the school’s new girl into their chic, but terrifying world. “Did you miss me?” Bell asks in the trailer. “I know I’ve missed you.”

“This extension of the pop culture classic takes us back to the Upper East Side finding a new generation of New York private school teens being introduced to social surveillance nine years after the original blogger’s website went dark,” a press release from HBO Max explains. “[The show] explores just how much social media – and the landscape of New York itself – has changed in the intervening years.”
The reboot is set to star Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak, and Savannah Lee Smith.
Will the reboot live up to the beloved original? That’s one secret I’ll never tell. XOXO, Gossip Girl.
