Watch: Grimes shares galactic, dystopian video for ‘Delete Forever’

'Miss Anthropocene' is set to come out on February 21

With the upcoming release of Miss Anthropocene, Grimes has shared a music video for her recently released track “Delete Forever.”

The song is inspired by Patsy Cline, and it is a stripped-back tune that is accompanied by springy guitar notes. The accompanying video is directed by her brother Mac Boucher and Neil Hansen. The video itself is meant to depict “a tyrant’s lament as her empire crumbles.”

Grimes can be seen sitting on a white throne, which is contrasted by her bright red dress and blue and yellow locks. It is then revealed that the galactic world around her is completely destroyed and has turned into ruins.
