Hannah Georgas’ latest record, For Evelyn, finds the Canadian indie star exploring an even more personal subject matter than in past releases. At the core of this release is family, including the album title itself, which is a dedication to Georgas’ emotional hero – her Grandmother.
Fear, strength, and the self-discovery that comes along with their juxtaposition informs the new material, which is full of interesting pop arrangements and an ample number of incredible vocal moments.
Hannah Georgas recently stopped by the Stiegl Hidden Studio to play two songs from the new record including “Don’t Go” and “Evelyn”, and one classic cut “Enemies”, from her 2012 self-titled release.
Full Session – “Don’t Go”, “Evelyn”, and “Enemies”(solo performance)
Bonus – “Enemies” (full band)
