Watch: Hey Ocean! (Collective Arts Black Box Sessions)

Watch Hey Ocean! show off their incredible harmonies in the Collective Arts Black Box studio.

After a five-year hiatus, Vancouver’s Hey Ocean! have returned. David Beckingham, Ashleigh Ball, and David Vertesi all spent their break from Hey Ocean! working on solo projects, honing their individual skills as musicians and songwriters. But the Juno-nominated trio couldn’t stay apart for too long, and they’ve reunited to create new beautiful tunes.

Hey Ocean! have announced their new album, The Hurt of Happiness, will be released on April 6, 2018.

If you were lucky enough to catch the band on their recent cross Canada tour, you got a taste of their new material which the band says “builds a bridge between the carefree experimentation of 2008’s It’s Easier To Be Somebody Else and the slick pop production and songwriting of 2012’s IS.

Along their tour, Hey Ocean! stopped at Indie88 to perform two of their new tunes which showcase their unique pop songwriting and mesmerizing vocal harmonies.
