Jack White performed at a Bernie Sanders rally in Detroit where he played White Stripes tracks “Icky Thump” and “Seven Nation Army” in addition to a cover of Bob Dylan’s “License to Kill.”
The event was held at White’s former school, Cass Technical High School in Detroit. White performed a pretty stacked live set before the rally’s official start, playing tracks like “Corporation,” “Connected by Love,” “Black Math,” and “We’re Going to Be Friends.” “I don’t associate myself with any particular party,” White explained when addressing why he was playing a Sanders rally. “I just listen to the issues, who is lying to me, and who I can trust. Bernie Sanders is telling the truth and is someone I can trust.”
