Jimmy Eat World brought an incredible energy to NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert. As lead vocalist Jim Adkins cracked jokes between passionate sets and the band used several instruments, including a tambourine with Bob Boilen’s face on it, the set had a comedic, yet heartfelt feel to it.
The group opened with “Love Never” and “All The Way (Stay),” two songs off their latest album Surviving, which dropped just last October. To close off, they took listeners on a trip down an early 2000s alternative rock memory lane with their classic “The Middle,” pulling at nostalgia’s heartstrings.
