Watch: Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner make TV debut as Big Red Machine

The supergroup, made up of Bon Iver's Vernon and The National's Dessner, play 'Gratitude'

Indie supergroup Big Red Machine, the collaborative project featuring Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon and The National’s Aaron Dessner, made their television debut on the Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

Their debut self-titled album, which was released over the summer, also featured tons of other indie rock powerhouses like The National’s Bryce Dessner and Bryan Davendorf, Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed Parry, Lisa Hannigan, and Phoebe Bridgers.

In support of the collaboration, Big Red Machine performed “Gratitude” in front of the studio audience. Watch the performance below.
