Karen O has performed a Yeah Yeah Yeahs deep cut in a new video posted to Instagram.
The performance, which Karen O performed from self isolation, saw her delivering a powerful rendition of 2001’s “Our Time.” At the beginning of the clip, the band’s frontwoman explains how her family has been self-isolating for a month, before introducing the track and explaining that it’s “the first song I ever wrote for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.”
“So maybe you hate the year so far – don’t blame you if you do – it’s the year to be hated,” Karen O wrote, referencing the lyrics of the track, which go, “it’s the year to be hated/ so glad we made it.”
