Local Natives are set to release a new album, Violet Street, on April 26 and have put out three singles so far. The newest song, “Tap Dancer,” just came out today, accompanied by a music video!
“Tap Dancer” is a calm and wonderfully layered song, bringing together emotional lyrics and outstanding instrumental lines. The video goes along with the musical fluidity of the track, which is beautifully represented by Micaela Taylor. Taylor is a contemporary dancer and choreographer, born and raised in LA. She is featured in the video wearing a long red dress and grey socks, displaying her talent in the one-shot clip. The lighting changes throughout the video are drastic and contrast with the original stark white background, keeping you engaged the entire time.
