Manchester Orchestra are readying their new album, The Million Masks of God, and today they’ve dropped a glitchy video for their new single, “Keel Timing.”
The slowly building new track grows every second before reaching a raucous high-octaine ending, with wailing vocals and powerful, textured instrumentals. The accompanying Alex Thomas-directed video begins as a balance between animation and videography, but as the track progresses, it moves to solely highlighting the captivating, glitchy animations.
“‘Keel Timing’ serves as a prequel to ‘Bed Head,'” frontman Andy Hull explains to Consequence of Sound. “It’s an isolated internal investigation about personal growth. Trying to decide what growth is positive and what growth is negative. And where do we land after that investigation.”
