Last nights’ third game of the NBA finals was a doozy, as the Golden State Warriors lost in their hometown to the Raptors, which means Toronto is now leading the finals 2-1. Golden State was set up for a favourable win as they were cheered on by fans at their home arena, and even had Metallica perform the national anthem.
The legendary James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett arrived at the Oracle arena in Oakland, California, wearing t-shirts sporting Golden States’ “strength in numbers” slogan. The duo prepared a heavy star spangled rendition of the American national anthem on their guitars, which is something that they have done at numerous San Francisco Giants baseball games. However, not even Metallica could thrust the Warriors into winning game 3, as the Raptors won 123-109.
