Watch: Middle Kids share video for new track ‘Real Thing,’ announce new EP

'New Songs For Old Problems' is set for release on May 24

Australian trio Middle Kids have just announced their forthcoming EP New Songs For Old Problems, which is set for release on May 24th, and as part of the announcement they’ve dropped a video for their new track, “Real Thing.”

The track is about our “lifelong quest for meaning,” frontwoman Hannah Joy explains in a press release. “It’s the quiet, persistent voice in the stillness that constantly checks to see if you truly think you’ve found the thing you’re looking for. The accompanying video for “Real Thing” is a warmly coloured clip that sees the adventures of a couple throughout the night as they talk on the phone, walk through the streets and laugh in the subway.
