Watch: Montreal’s TOPS shares video for new track ‘I Feel Alive,’ announces forthcoming album

'I Feel Alive' is set for release on April 3

Montreal four-piece TOPS have announced a new album called I Feel Alive, which is set for release on April 3rd. As part of the announcement, the band has released a video for the record’s title track.

“We’d spent a lot of time apart, not working on new stuff or touring, just living life, all in different cities,” frontwoman Jane Penny explains in a statement. “When we went to make I Feel Alive we all had a good sense of what we were trying to do and a renewed energy towards playing together. The goal was to get in a room together and play, not holding anything back.”

The title track, “I Feel Alive,” is a dark pop song, serving as a complicated ode to love, as Penny sings lines like, “When I saw you wanted to spend the night with someone else at home/ I knew it wasn’t right.” The Mashie Alam-directed video follows the band at a photoshoot, posing in a variety of looks and playing with some red-eyed bunnies.
