This weekend, legendary Canadian songwriter Neil Young and Promise of the Real were shut down at the BottleRock festival in Napa Valley due to its strict curfew.
BottleRock Napa Valley has a strict cutoff curfew of 10:00 pm due to a residential area nearby that has complained about noise in the past. Young and Promise of the Real had begun their final song, “Rockin’ in the Free World,” at 9:50 pm, and played past the curfew, as the festival brought their loud speakers to a halt. Young, however, seemed unbothered by the interruption and continued to rock on. Fan-shot footage shows the crowd singing along with the band.
