Watch: Neil Young rewrites ‘Looking For a Leader’ after Trump continues to use his music without permission

Young says he will not sue, but he does have another suggestion

Yesterday, Neil Young spoke out against President Donald Trump after he used Young’s music at another one of his rallies. While Young won’t be taking any legal action on the matter, he did have another suggestion for Trump.

“Because you are in charge of the COVID-19 response here in the USA, I will not sue you, (as certainly is my right) potentially distracting from your important work at hand protecting and saving American lives,” Young writes.

He then continues on to suggest that at Trump’s next rally, he play the new version of “Looking For a Leader,” which was featured on his latest “Porch Episode.” The new version sees Young delivering lines like, “Yeah, we had Barack Obama and we really need him now/ The man who stood behind him has to take his place somehow/ America has a leader building walls around our house/ Don’t know Black Lives Matter and we got to vote him out.”
