Lisa Hanawalt, producer and illustrator of BoJack Horseman, is making her return to Netflix with Tuca & Bertie, another animated sitcom about talking animals.
The show is set to follow two thirty-year-old bird-women, a bold Tiffany Haddish-voiced toucan and an anxious Ali Wong-voiced songbird, who are best birds living in the same apartment complex. Although the new series doesn’t exist in the same universe as BoJack Horseman, the 10 episodes will see voice contributions from Nicole Byer, Steven Yuen, Richard E. Grant, John Early, Reggie Watts, Tig Notaro, Amber Ruffin, Tessa Thompson, and more.
