One of last year’s biggest television hits was Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House, which was one part emotional and two parts terrifying. Mike Flanagan’s adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s novel was so successful that, through a teaser trailer, the streaming giant has announced that they’ll be renewing the show as an anthology series.
According to Variety, the series will be renewed as a Haunting anthology, and the second season will tell a new story that features characters that are completely separate from the first season. Although the location is blurred out, there appears to be a quote from Henry James’ story The Turn of The Screw, which revolves around the Bly House.

The new season isn’t expected to be released until 2020, but Netflix has revealed that Flanagan and executive producer Trevor Macy have signed an exclusive multi-year television deal where they’ll produce two other TV projects apart from Hill House.
