Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman, which sees Scorsese reuniting with Robert De Niro.
The Irishman, which is a film adaptation of Charles Brandt’s book I Heard You Paint Houses, will star Harvey Keitel, Anna Paquin, Bobby Cannavale, Ray Romano, and de-aged versions of De Niro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci.
The forthcoming film will be an American biological crime film that follows the story of Frank Sheeran, a labor union leader and alleged hitman for the Bufalino crime family. Sheeran is a World War 2 veteran and a former hitman for the mob. During his time spent in the war in Italy, he became a talented killer, and in order to make ends meet, Sheeran used his skills to become a hitman for the mob. Now in his old age, he reflects back on the moments and hits that defined his mob career.

The film will have its world premiere at the New York Film Festival on September 27, 2019, and it is expected to be released by Netflix after the world premiere.
