On Sunday, a winter storm tore across Atlantic Canada, covering the ground in layers and layers of snow and ice. One New Brunswick man wouldn’t let that stop him from indulging in a steaming hot double-double, so he grabbed a pair of skates and glided through the local Tim Hortons drive through.
On Monday, Cory Hamilton skated through the city after rapidly plunging temperatures turned slush and pooling water in Saint John to ice, making the East Coast city into a natural ice rink. “I’ve played hockey my entire life but have never been able to skate up the streets,” Hamilton told Global News. “It’s like being a kid again out here.”
