Watch: Nilüfer Yanya performs ‘Baby Luv,’ ‘The Unordained,’ ‘Angels’ on NPR Tiny Desk

She performed three tracks off of her expansive album 'Miss Universe'

Genre-bending artist Nilüfer Yanya recently took to NPR Tiny Desk to perform her Miss Universe tracks “Baby Luv,” “The Unordained,” and “Angels.”

The reverb-heavy tracks see Yanya letting her quirky, versatile vocal lines ebb and flow through a balance of fuzzy guitar riffs and shimmering keys. The British singer’s lyricism really takes the lead on the performances, with vulnerable lines like “Pure shame, looks like we already gave up/ Meaning and blame, it’s getting harder to wake up/ Will it deepen some way?/ Is it alright I hate her?”
