Following the release of “Change” and “She’s My Religion,” Pale Waves have shared a gothic-style video for their new single “Easy.”
In an interview with Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1, frontwoman Heather Baron-Gracie revealed that the track started out as a ballad. “I made the decision to change the music because it’s such a positive song within the lyrics; [it’s] about how uplifting love can be overall,” Baron-Gracie explains.
The accompanying James Slater-directed clip comes packed sees Baron-Gracie in an abandoned church, performing from an elaborate throne. “I’m really inspired by the gothic medieval aesthetic and at the time I was thinking of the video I was watching a lot of Tim Burton films whose creativity really inspires me,” Baron-Gracie explains.
