Watch: Pearl Jam Release uncensored ‘Jeremy’ music video

In support of National Gun Violence Awareness Day

Pearl Jam have shared their uncensored music video for “Jeremy” on June 5th in support of National Gun Violence Awareness Day.

“Jeremy” was directed by Mark Pellington and tells the story of a troubled student who is bullied at school and ultimately shoots himself with a pistol infront of his classmates. “Jeremy” appeared on Pearl Jam’s 1991 debut album Ten.

“The increase in gun violence since the debut of ‘Jeremy’ is staggering,” Pearl Jam explain on Instagram. “We have released the uncensored version of the video which was unavailable in 1992 with TV censorship laws. We can prevent gun deaths whether mass shootings, deaths of despair, law enforcement, or accidental.”
