Watch: Phoebe Bridgers, Philip Glass, Jackson Browne, Scorchio Quartet perform orchestral rendition of ‘Kyoto’

For the virtual Tibet House benefit

This year, Philip Glass’ annual Tibet House benefit went virtual. Phoebe Bridgers delivered a standout performance of an orchestral rendition of “Kyoto.”

Bridgers was joined by Glass, Jackson Browne, and the avant-garde ensemble Scorchio Quartet, making for a moving orchestral version of the Punisher track. The performance feels reminiscent of the Copycat Killer version of Kyoto.

The event, which raises money for the educational nonprofit and cultural embassy in New York, also saw performances from Eddie Vedder, Patti Smith, Iggy Pop, Annie Lennox, the Flaming Lips, Brittany Howard, and more.
