The clip sees Bridgers talking about her rapidly growing fame following the release of Punisher, which Meyers says turned out to be “the perfect album for a very hard time.” “I feel like I’m always having a hard time,” Bridgers quips in response. “I’m terrified of everything, always think the world’s going to end. So I think maybe even if I released my first record right around now, people might think it was about COVID.”
Bridgers also spoke of her Grammy nominations, John Prine, and how her pug was edited out of her Vanity Fair cover before bringing the sweet pup on screen.
