Watch: PUP perform cover of The Weakerthans’ ‘Plea From A Cat Named Virtue’ at hometown show in Toronto

The band played their largest ever headlining show at Echo Beach

Last night PUP played their largest headlining show in Toronto at Echo Beach to support their recently released record, Morbid Stuff. During their performance, they played the Weakerthans’ “Plea From A Cat Named Virtue.”

PUP’s rendition of the band’s 2003 Reconstruction Site track came packed with gritty guitar lines, rowdy drums, and wailing, punky vocals. PUP has previously cited The Weakerthans as one of their many influences, and you can really hear it on their powerhouse rendition of “Plea From A Cat Named Virtue.”
