Watch: Rick Astley covers Foo Fighters’ ‘Everlong’

Astley and Dave Grohl have collaborated many times in the past

Rick Astley have covered Foo Fighters’ hit 1997 track “Everlong.”

The ’90s star has a friendship with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl dating back to 2018, when Astley invited the band onstage at Japan’s Summer Sonic festival. Together, the artists performed Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” before leading into Astley’s meme-worthy hit “Never Gonna Give You Up.”

“Sometimes you just have to find the song that’s gonna lift your spirits and put you in another place, and I’ve been doing that a lot recently with music,” Astley explains.
