While gearing up for the release of her new album Color Theory, which drops this Friday, Soccer Mommy has shared a new animated video for “bloodstream.”
The animated, nostalgia-ridden clip, which was directed by Bella Clark, sees a pixelated Soccer Mommy, also known as Sophie Allison, lying on her bed in a room filled with snacks. The entire video feels reminiscent of a ’90s video game, as Allison delivers lines like, “But I know it’s waiting there/ Swimming through my bloodstream/ It’s gonna come for me.”
The song is meant to represent “different parts of sadness/depression,” Allison explains.
