Watch: Sorority Noise’s Emotionally Charged ‘No Halo’

Sorority Noise just shared a powerful video for “No Halo”. The song is the emotionally charged opening track of their 2017 record You’re Not As _____ As You Think, which found frontman and songwriter Cam Boucher dealing openly with the subjects of death, grief, depression, and loneliness.

Boucher has struggled early in his life with the losses of loved ones, including his childhood best friend Sean. This song is specifically about Sean’s funeral, which Boucher skipped. Instead of attending the ceremony he found himself driving to Sean’s house where he was immersed in thoughts about his departed friend, and how we keep the dead alive by carrying them in our memory. Director Kyle Thrash has amplified the song’s message with heartrending images of several different characters struggling to cope with personal losses.
