Sony may have handed over the rights to Spider-Man on the big screen to Disney and Marvel, but the studio isn’t exactly sitting idle on the wall-crawler front. Not only does Sony have a Venom film starring Tom Hardy hitting theatres this week, but an animated take on Spider-Man is on the way for the holiday season.
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse will introduce movie-going audiences to a host of characters from the comic book character’s history. In the latest trailer, we see dimensions come together as Peter Parker takes aspiring Spider-Man Miles Morales under his wing. We’re also introduced to Gwen Stacy’s Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man Noir, and 80s parody creation Spider-Ham. Combined with a unique animation style, this film could be one of the best interpretation of Spider-Man yet.
