Watch: Spoon covers John Lennon’s ‘Isolation’ on ‘Howard Stern’

They performed Lennon's 1970 solo track

Spoon recently took to The Howard Stern Show, where they performed “Rent I Pay” and a cover of John Lennon’s “Isolation.”

Footage of their performance of Lennon’s 1970 solo track was released online. Spoon’s rendition opens up with a sparse piano line before it builds into a sway-able, intimate ballad, as frontman Britt Daniel wails iconic lines like “I don’t expect you to understand/ After you’ve caused so much pain/ But then again, you’re not to blame/ You’re just a human, a victim of the insane.”
