Annie Clark, or St. Vincent, headed home to Texas to kick off PBS’ Austin City Limits, which airs on Saturday. A live performance of her “Severed Crossed Fingers” has been released as a bonus track that is not included in the television episode.
She performed the song solo, singing the opening lines of the slow tune with her eyes closed for a vulnerable performance filled with heartfelt lyrics.
“What a wonderful way to come back to the home state,” Clark prefaced. “So in the spirit of hometown-ness, I’m gonna play songs I used to play in coffee shops and bad bars, and on a couple of embarrassing occasions, pizza parlors.”
Watch the performance below.
The episode is for the 44th season, and features a 13 song set that spans the entirety of her career.
The broadcasted episode will highlight songs from Masseduction, including “Pills” and “New York,” as well as songs from older albums like “Marrow” from 2009’s Actor and “Cruel” from 2011’s Strange Mercy.

Upcoming episodes of Austin City Limits will spotlight artists like Sam Smith, Alessia Cara, Miguel, and John Prine.
