The tense first trailer for HBO’s upcoming adaptation of the renowned graphic novel Watchmen is here, and it sees superheroes and antiheroes gearing up for some sort of battle.
The series is set to be a “remixed” story of the original comics that is set to “embrace the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel while attempting to break new ground of its own,” according to the show’s synopsis. The new teaser is perfectly dark and mysterious, refusing to offer up plot points while delivering enticing lines like, “we are everyone and we are invisible.”
