Watch: The Beths share video for new single ‘Dying To Believe,’ announce forthcoming album ‘Jump Rope Gazers’

'Jump Rope Gazers' is set for release on July 10

The Beths have announced their new album Jump Rope Gazers, which is set for release on July 10th via Carpark Records. As part of the announcement, the New Zealand indie outfit have released a video for the album’s lead single “Dying to Believe.”

The forthcoming album “grapples with the uneasy proposition of leaving everything and everyone you know behind on another continent, chasing your dreams while struggling to stay close with loved ones back home,” according to a statement.

The lead single is a perfect representation of that, as front woman Elizabeth Stokes delivers lines like, “I’m sorry for the way that I can’t hols conversations/ They’re such a fragile thing to try to support the weight of.” “Dying To Believe” is a driven indie pop track that finds a way to balance ’80s rock riffs and a sort of bubbly sweetness. The accompanying clip is perfectly quirky as the band teaches you “How To Be The Beths in Four Easy Steps.”
