Over the summer, reports claimed that Atlanta and “This Is America” director Hiro Murai was in Cuba prepping for a shoot with Donald Glover, Rihanna, Atlanta cinematographer Christian Sprenger, and “This Is America” creative director Ibra Ake.
The nature of the project remained unclear, but according to Stereogum, a film trailer premiered on Saturday night in New Zealand at Glover’s second annual PHAROS Festival. The film, which is rumoured to be called Guava Island, gets described as “A Childish Gambino Film” in the trailer, and it appears to be a heavily music based “action/crime movie.”

“We live in paradise but none of us actually have the time or the means to live here,” Glover explains in the trailer. Letitia Writght and Nonso Anozie are also listed as co-stars in the upcoming flick.
