Daniel Craig returns to headline an all-star cast in the first sequel to Rian Johnson’s Knives Out, titled Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. Craig once again plays detective Benoit Blanc, who this time is charged with solving a murder aboard a cruise ship.
Unlike Johnson’s first film in the series, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery will go direct to streaming via Netflix on December 23rd, although it will receive its official premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Netflix is also on the hook for a second sequel.
Craig is joined by Ethan Hawke, Edward Norton,, Jessica Henwick, Kathryn Hahn, Dave Bautista, Kate Hudson, Madelyn Cline, Janelle Monáe, and Leslie Odom Jr.

Johnson was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for his work on Knives Out. The award went to Bong Joon-ho and Han Jin-won for Parasite.
Johnson once again helmed writing and directing duties for the first sequel.
