NBC has shared the first look at the forthcoming Saved By the Bell reboot, which will be available exclusively on its new Peacock streaming platform.
The series sees the return of original cast members like Mario Lopez (A.C. Slater), Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano), and Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack Morris). In the reboot, Slater plays the role of a gym teacher at the school is Jessie’s son, Jamie. Zack, on the other hand, is a governor of California who is in hot water after closing too many low-income schools, and his solution is to send impacted students to schools like Bayside High.
Saved By The Bell is also set to star transgender actress Josie Totah, who plays “a beautiful, sharp-tongued cheerleader and the most popular girl at Bayside High who is both admired and feared by her fellow students.”
