Watch: The Get Up Kids drop video for ‘Lou Barlow,’ which stars none other than Lou Barlow himself

Barlow attempts to use his fame to get into a sold-out Get Up Kids show

The Get Up Kids have shared a hilarious new video for “Lou Barlow,” which stars none other than Lou Barlow himself.

The Kerstin Ebert-directed clip sees Barlow attempting to use his fame to get into a sold-out Get Up Kids show, going as far as to pull out a driver’s license and reveal that a song on Problems is named after him by showing a vinyl to the bouncer. “I acted the shit out of that,” Barlow explains in a press release.

“We kept joking how hilarious it would be if we could get Lou Barlow to be in the video for ‘Lou Barlow,'” Matt Pryor explains in a statement. “It was absolute luck that we both happened to be in New York on the same day. When he agreed, we were thrilled. When we saw how much he put into the video, we were floored. He was amazing.”
