Last night was the 24th annual Tibet House Benefit Concert at New York’s Carnegie Hall. The National, New Order, Iggy Pop, Patti Smith, among others took the stage to help preserve Tibetan Culture.
Sufjan Stevens is no stranger to The National, having appeared on every album since 2007’s Boxer, and has also been a touring member of the band in the past. Last night he took the stage with Matt Berninger and the Dessner brothers to perform strings-infused renditions of “Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks”, “This Is The Last Time”, and “I Need My Girl”.
